Tommy Simonsen (1970) has been working with travel and documentary / landscape photography professionally since 1998, and portrait photography since 1992.
He is living in the heart of Northern Norway, in the city of Harstad.
For ten years Tommy worked as a travel photographer, a job that gave him local knowledge to most of the exciting parts of the northern Norwegian region, especially Svalbard, but also Greenland, Iceland and Antarctica.
His pictures have been published in books about Lofoten, North Cape, Svalbard, The Norwegian Costal Liner and many more.
In 2008 he started working as a photography teacher/expedition leader on Soltun Folkhighschool on long term photo expeditions outside Norway. This has taken him to all continents.
His broad experience has given him the opportunity to start guiding guests from all over the world into northern Norway, especially The Lofoten Islands and the arctic wilderness of Svalbard /Spitsbergen. See lofotentours.com.
